Exploring the Moon: BA Plaza

Alexandria — in an effort to raise scientific awareness, the Planetarium Science Center (PSC), an affiliate to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, is organizing a lecture and public observation session entitled "Hands on the Moon", on 10 May 2006.
The activity comprises a lecture entitled "A Trip to the Moon", by Mr Aymen Ibrahem, PSC, Senior Astronomy Specialist. The lecture includes a thorough exploration of the Moon using images taken by spaceships, illustrations and cartoons. The lecture will be followed by a public observation session where the participants will get a chance to see the Moon in details using telescopes.
The lecture takes place at 7:00 pm (Auditorium) followed by the observation session at 8:00 pm, Plaza.
