Seminar: “Safe Women, Safe Families”

The BA Women Studies and Social Transformation Program is organizing a seminar entitled "Safe Women, Safe Families" on Sunday, 23 November 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at the Conference Center – Great Hall.
The seminar is held on the sidelines of the World Children’s Day celebration and as part of the BA’s efforts to raise community awareness of the issue of violence against women and children and to promote a culture of safety within Egyptian families. It will be delivered by Dr. Mahmoud Shaaban, lawyer at the Court of Cassation and President of the Council of Ambassadors for Peace, Tolerance, and Sustainable Development; and Ms. Iman Hindi, special education consultant, certified lecturer at Ain Shams University, and mental health researcher.
It will address a number of key topics, including the psychological dimensions of domestic violence and its effects on the mental health of women and children, the role of family and community support in rehabilitation, the legal framework for the protection of women and children, reporting procedures, methods of proof, and national initiatives aimed at combating violence.
