“Alexandria: Multiple Visions” at the BA

The BA Map Services Unit, in collaboration with ADASA Club, is organizing an event entitled “Alexandria: Multiple Visions” from 15 to 27 September 2025.
The event will begin with a lecture on 15 September 2025 at 3:00 pm in the Delegates Hall of the Library’s Conference Center, followed by the opening of a photography exhibition at 5:00 pm in the West Exhibition Hall, which will run until 27 September 2025.
The lecture will highlight the importance of Alexandria, its location, cultural heritage, and diversity. It will be presented by Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Qader Rashid, Professor of Historical Geography at the Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University; Dr. Al-Hussein Abdel-Bassir, Director of the BA Antiquities Museum and Acting Director of the Zahi Hawass Center of Egyptology; Eng. Mohamed Fathy Al-Awad, Architect (for heritage preservation) and Acting Deputy Director of the BA Alexandria and Mediterranean Research Center; and Researcher Yasmine Hussein, Head of Research at The Human and the City for Social Research organization.
The exhibition accompanying the event will feature a collection of artistic projects by photographers who have documented the city's cultural interactions.
The event is free and open to the public.
