Alexandria — As part of the Peace Studies Institute’s role in deepening and spreading the culture of peace and co-existence, the institute – based at the BA and affiliated to the Suzanne Mubarak Women’s International Peace Movement – is organizing a lecture on Tuesday, 23 May entitled Deepening the Dialogue: The Future of Muslim- Christian Relations by Lord George Carey, Former Archbishop of Canterbury and Patron of the Alexandria School of Theology. Lord George Carey’s lecture will focus on the importance of religious dialogue in advancing respect and understanding. This is a particularly important and timely issue which will enhance the spirit of national and international peace and cooperation.

It is worth mentioning that the BA Peace Institute Studies was inaugurated by Mrs. Suzanne Mubarak, Chair of the BA Board of Trustees, last February. The Institute focuses on research and training, prepares material and case studies, and helps Suzanne Mubarak’s Movement to ground its actions in well-researched and well-studied material, and to promote the culture of peace, enhance human security as well as expand the role of women and young people in the process of peace building through a series of partnerships on the regional and international levels.

The lecture will start at 17:00 hrs at the Middle Hall at the BA Conference Center.
