The Bibliotheca Alexandrina celebrated the release of the Arabic edition of the commemorative book on Hungarian football legend Ferenc Puskás at the Center for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage in the Smart Village. The event was attended by Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina; Dr. Rita Herencsár, Ambassador of Hungary to Egypt; and the author of the book, Szöllősi György. It was presented by Dr. Mahmoud Ezzat, Director of the BA Center for Strategic Studies, and attended by a host of senior journalists and media figures from Hungary.
This collaboration between the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the Puskás International Foundation reflects the Library’s interest in sports culture and its keenness, as a national cultural institution, to preserve human heritage and support cultural dialogue between Egypt and countries around the world.
