LCOY Egypt 2025

The BA Sustainable Development Studies, Youth Capacity Building, and African Relations Support Program has hosted the launch of the conference “LCOY Egypt 2025”, in collaboration with the Mediterranean Youth Foundation and in partnership with a number of government agencies and civil society organizations.
The conference was inaugurated by Dr. Marwa El-Wakil, Head of the BA Academic Research Sector, on behalf of Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the BA. She reviewed the Library's efforts in supporting young people, especially in the field of climate action, through a series of youth-oriented programs launched in 2002 with the aim of raising environmental awareness.
The conference was attended by a large number of representatives from ministries, religious bodies, and civil society organizations, as well as environmental activists and entrepreneurs in the field of sustainability. H.E. Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs, took part in the opening session with a recorded speech, together with H. E. Dr. Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, and Dr. Mohamed Abdel Salam, Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Elders.
LCOY Egypt 2025 is a national platform that brings together Egyptian youth to engage in a dialogue on climate issues and formulate innovative visions and solutions to mounting environmental challenges.
