The Ambassador of Bahrain in a Visit to the BA

Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, welcomed yesterday Ambassador Fawzia bint Abdullah, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Egypt, and Permanent Representative to the Arab League. The meeting was attended by Ms. Heba Al-Rafey, Acting Head of the BA External Relations and Protocol Sector.
The meeting witnessed the discussion of aspects of joint cooperation between the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and similar institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Dr. Zayed said that the BA is utilizing its capabilities and expertise in the restoration of manuscripts and the digitization of books. The meeting also included an exchange on cultural issues of common interest, in addition to the issues of Arab women empowerment.
At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Fawzia bint Abdullah offered a souvenir to the Library, as Dr. Zayed presented her with the book The Photographic Memory of Alexandria, along with two books written by him. The Ambassador then toured the Library and viewed its collections.
