The Italian Television in a Visit to the BA

A delegation from the Italian channel RAI paid a visit to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina on Thursday, 8 August 2024, to film an episode on the cultural role of the Library at the local and international levels, and to learn more about its history and its ancient and modern value.
The channel conducted a TV interview with Ms. Heba Al-Rafey, Acting Head of the External Relations and Media Sector, on behalf of Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, to explore the BA museums, galleries, and specialized libraries that serve visitors, readers, and researchers.
The channel also conducted a detailed report inside the restoration laboratory with Mr. Wael Ibrahim, Head of the Manuscripts Conservation and Restoration Unit, to understand how the restoration process of manuscripts and rare books is carried out.
