“Connecting Heritage Science to the Heritage of Science” Conference

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (Egypt) are organizing the International Conference "Connecting Heritage Science to the Heritage of Science", from 6 to 9 April 2025, at the BA Conference Center.
The Conference aims to examine and discuss the history and heritage of science in Egyptian civilizations, from prehistoric times to the modern era, in addition to highlighting the role of research infrastructures and scientific innovations in the field of cultural heritage management. It will also underline the importance of national, regional, and international cooperation with regard to how cultural heritage is preserved and sustained.
The Conference will discuss nearly forty research papers tackling various fields of heritage science and the heritage of science, with an emphasis on connecting them to the past by exploring scientific developments and modern technologies used in the study and preservation of cultural heritage.
On the sidelines of the Conference, a workshop will be held for restorers specialized in archival heritage conservation.
